DESCRIPTION:Spring is really here! Lets make some wonderful weird art! \nIn this UNIQUE never before offered class we’ll get extra weird with our materials! \nIn this Pour Darling class you will learn how to thin and mix acrylic paint\, the mediums you can use at home and how to use additives for cool effects! Together we will learn and practice the “Tree Ring” technique which creates a beautiful circular line design within your unique masterpiece. But here’s the twist! We won’t be pouring on canvas… We’ll be pouring on a scratched vintage record! \nUpcycling this material saves it from the landfill & makes a unique conversation starter. When finished/dried\, a poured record can be hung on the wall as is\, you can add embellishments OR you can turn it into a clock! All finishing options will be discussed in class. \nAll materials included in cost of class! In this class each student will make TWO record paintings. A 78 & a 45. \nPaintings can be picked up from the brewery at a designated Art Pick-up night. If you can’t make it for art pick-up\, you can grab them at my studio in Black Mountain OR for a small fee I can ship your record painting to you! \n

SUMMARY:Watercolor Paint Making Workshop - LIMITED SEATS
DESCRIPTION:A little different than your average Pour Darling Fluid Art class! We’ll be shifting gears to a different medium\, but still fluid! \nIn this class\, you will learn about the basic ingredients for making your own watercolor (pigment\, binder\, flow additives). Together we will each pick from a variety of colors and mull/mix our pigments until ultra smooth. You will be given a general recipe\, but you will be allowed to customize it based on your personal preferences (high or low flow\, fast or slow drying\, textured or smooth). \nThis is a very relaxing workshop\, since a good portion of the class will be dedicated to handmulling the paints. This is a meditative process that is very enjoyable\, though not as high energy as other Pour Darling classes. \nAfter mulling three unique watercolor paints\, you will be invited to USE your new paints & learn a few basic watercolor techniques in your own mini-painting. \nEach student will bring home: 3 half-pans of their handmade watercolor paints\, a metal-tin for containing them & a mini watercolor painting. \nAll materials included in cost! Local beverages & snacks will be available at the class. \n*Do you have old eyeshadows/make up you no longer use? BRING THEM TO CLASS & make them into a watercolor!

DESCRIPTION:Get messy and get in touch with your inner artist! This is the FIRST class in the Pour Darling Fluid Art series. Take all four to become a master of the fluid art medium! Additional classes in the series include: Swipe Technique\, Tree Ring Pour & String Pull. \nIn class you will learn how to thin and mix acrylic paint\, the mediums you can use at home and how to use additives for cool effects! Together we will learn and practice the basic “Dirty Pour” Flip Cup technique. \nAll materials included in cost and local beverages / snacks will be available at the class.
